Administrative Professionals Day is Wednesday, April 26.  Caryn, thank you for everything you do for all of us at Venture!

Wednesday May 10 at 11:00 am, the VFW will be here to go through a "Retire the Flag" ceremony with students. We will be on an activity schedule, and we will release students to the gym near the end of third period.

On May 9th, please have a lesson for students around assembly behavior - especially an assembly that veterans are leading.

Here are the main assembly points to discuss with students:  If anyone wants to make a slide show to share with the rest of us, that would be swell :)

1. The Veterans will be doing a "Retire the Flag" ceremony.  As part of this ceremony, we will participate in the Pledge of Allegiance.  If any student will not be participating in Pledge, there will be a study hall room available and he or she may go to the study hall.  Please let your teacher know today if you will be in study hall so we can plan for that.
2. The Coeur d'Alene Press will be here taking pictures for the paper.  Dress accordingly
3. When your group is called to go to the gym, please enter quietly and respectfully.  Sit with your class and your teacher in the bleachers
4. Please keep phones silent and put away during the ceremony.
5. Please stay quiet during the duration of the ceremony.
6.  Whenever we have guests in the building, they form an impression of us based on how welcome we made them feel and how courteous we were toward them.  Please, lets all be welcoming, courteous and let the community see what an awesome school and group of students we are.
7. After the ceremony, we will continue with our celebration assembly.  During this time, you can cheer on those being recognized.
8. Released for lunch after the celebration.
9. What did I forget?

Summer School Reminder:  As in previous years, summer school for grades 6-12 will be held at Venture. Nearly all rooms will be used.  Please take any personal items home that you don't want the students touching.

Monday May 1 we will not have a staff-wide PD.  Please use this time to meet with departments and with colleagues.
